Just wanted to share some photos from a walk Peter and I took the other day.

We came across a WWII memorial on Ile de la Cité, not far from Notre Dame

This sign explained the history and symbols used in the memorial.

Across from the main memorial building, this sculpture depicts violence and death.

The memorial was accessible by climbing down these stairs.

diptych - my favorite of the day

We walked along some of the small streets and alleys of Ile de la Cité

A great majority of the leaves have already changed here in Paris.

Someone was setting up this boat for a dinner party or something.

Bright green is the color of the trash trucks, trash cans, brooms and uniforms of the sanitation workers here.

So many photos, so little time to post them…more to come later!
