In the good old US of A

It’s been so great being back with my family in the States.  I’ve gotten to see several friends as well.

So far I have experienced…

  • DC with Jon & Jaimie, then with Peter, Sarah and Caitlin and some other friends
  • Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, and Chipotle
  • Baltimore with Laura
  • lunch with my Gram & Jaimie
  • family dinners at home
  • lots of shopping!
And I’ve been taking tons of photos.  Like this one above that says “We <3 our tourist” which made me laugh because that makes it sound like DC only has one tourist.
Ahh, America.  It’s good to be back for a visit.
Posting will likely be sparse until I return.  There’s just so much to do and experience, and I want to take it all in.

How do you get to work?

How do you get to work?

I am willing to bet that most of you commute to work.  Unless you’re one of those work-at-home types, and you can roll out of bed and straight to your computer, I’m sure you have had some interesting commutes.  Whether you drive, take the metro, pedal your bicycle, or, for the luckiest ones, walk to work, we have all had that morning where commuting just did not work out the way it should.  Tuesday was that morning for me. In fact, every single thing about the day’s transportation for me was a comedy of errors.

Cherry blossoms.

A little late, but two weeks ago I went to see the Cherry Blossoms for the first time down by the Tidal Basin in DC.  It was absolutely beautiful.  I got to meet two of my best friends that day, too, which was great because I don’t see either of them very often.
